Picking the perfect tree for your family this holiday season is a goal of many but it isn’t always as easy as it seems. Some of the tiniest details could ruin the experience and create a mess once inside the house. Fortunately taking a few precautions can help avoid the hassle. Here are some great tips to help you pick the best Christmas tree for your home this holiday season.
- Tree Farm – Once you arrive at the tree farm, ask the staff if they have any Douglas fir, Scotch pine, or Fraser fir trees. Those, as well as a few others, have the best shape, rich color, and a long lifespan. Any of those trees, if properly taken care of, will last to Christmas and beyond!
- Home – Before you leave home, make sure you have enough space for a tree. Consider what furniture you might need to move and measure the height of the ceiling down to the floor. Buying a tree that’s too tall could do a number on the ceiling as well as the tree.
- Lifespan – Keeping a tree alive in rather simple. All it really needs is at least a gallon of water at all times. It wouldn’t hurt to cut an inch off the base to make it easier for the tree to absorb more water as well.
