Every year at the North American International Auto Show held in Detroit, automotive journalists from across both the U.S. and Canada vote on what they consider to be the best new vehicles of the year. For 2017, they chose the all-new Chrysler Pacifica as the 2017 North American Utility of the Year.
This award is considered to be one of the most prestigious in the industry and is the latest in a long string of accolades for the Pacifica, including being named “Best of 2017” by Cars.com, earning a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and being included on the “Top Ten Best User Experience” list from WardsAuto.
This is only the second time a minivan has earned the award. The first was in 1996 when Chrysler’s minivans won the North American Car of the Year honor.
Those in the minivan market will be excited to learn that the Pacifica includes 37 minivan firsts, from a plug-in hybrid model to hands-free power sliding doors, as well as a nine-speed automatic transmission.
In addition to these innovative features, the Pacifica has more than 100 available safety and security features, industry-leading technology, and is the ideal vehicle choice for busy families.
